"Nourishing the soul is the process of drinking at the life stream, coming back to one's true self, embracing the whole of one's experiences -- good, bad or ugly; painful or exalted; dull or boring."
This year I wanted to focus on growth, but not just on how much I can grow or on what goals I can accomplish. I want to focus on how I get there. On the process. On feeding the important parts of my mind, body and soul. On putting effort into the parts of me that matter most and building up those things and those people that truly help me to thrive in this life I have been given.
"While we know that peace comes from God, we often neglect the nourishment that our soul needs to stay well; God's word. What we need to notice is the fact that our joy and God's word are linked together."
So here we go 2018. I'm looking forward to seeking the proper nourishment for myself, surrounding myself with people who fill my cup and providing that same support to those I'm fortunate to live life with. This is going to be a great year!
"How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord of hosts! My soul longs, yes faints for the courts of the Lord; my heart and flesh sing for joy to the living God." Psalm 84:1-2
